About Hanging Rock.
I named my coaching and consulting venture “Hanging Rock” after a pretty New Zealand farming region where I grew up as a girl. We had little wealth; but got by through my mum’s resourcefulness, creativity, and her pioneering attitude that this time, just the three of us with my sister, would help us grow and learn. And it did. Because of Hanging Rock, I know not to let our circumstances define who we are today—or tomorrow. I also know not to give up and to find gifts and opportunities in every challenge.
About spreading the love.
I believe coaching ought to become accessible to all, not just those who can afford this life-changing gift. Therefore, I pledge as an ICF-certified coach, to provide free coaching to those who’ve pulled themselves up and out of bedlam. That hardship might mean poverty, abuse, or dysfunctional patterns. I also probono coach suicide survivors, particularly those from New Zealand, which boasts the highest youth suicide rates in the world. Click here to hear more.
[Note to Dan: I’d like to add a short, 1-2 minute video from me on why Hanging Rock and who I am. I love this one by Katty Kay and I can emulate it I think. (She’s my sher-o in the communications world!) Am I best to record and save to You Tube? ]
